They will since strategical it is important
1) Since Crimea occupies Ukraine's majority shore line ..It will be difficult for any foreign army/navy to invade in or even be in the Ukrainian waters
2) Culturaly Crimea and South Russia are inclined towards each other due to maximum Muslim majority

This means they can't do anything, Crimea will become a second Kaliningrad or Gibraltar.

I've been humming Cher's "Believe" ever since the gov't minister used the word to describe this Crimea referendum.
