I'm a bi guy and even though I think my preference leans more toward men, I've only had girlfriends. And I've been sexually attracted to way more girls I know in number than I have to guys I know. But, yeah I think it's possible.
Yes. Plenty of gay men (and I'm sure vice versa with gay women) have married women that they whole heartedly loved and nurtured. Sometimes people really just do marry their best friends because they feel they are a perfect match and they understand each other. Sexuality is not necessarily linked to love.
I'm a straight girl and I really loved another girl (when I was about 15) and we were together etc.. But eventually I started to feel that something was missing. I need a man in my life, I need that girl/boy relationship even though she was rather tomboyish it still wasn't what I needed. Is it possible? Yes. Will it work? Probably not.
But I guess if you don't care THAT much about sex and certain roles in the relationship then why not.
At the risk of sounding extremely corny, it would be the most magical thing in the world I think. Falling for someone you would least expect. I mean you would never have to question your feelings because you would know that it's beyond sexual feelings. It's special.
