Dr. Luke will eventually get played out, and so will Katy and her bubblegum, "fun" pop songs, and she will eventually have to mature because no one will want to hear a 50-something year old woman singing stuff like "Roar" or "Last Friday Night."
So, for right now, my answer says no.

DTM is not a serious song at all.
The whole Katy can only get bubblegum hits is tired as proven by E.T, Dark Horse, and I Kissed A Girl being some of her biggest and darkest singles. As for Luke, he has already proven to be a classic producer. He's not tired yet and hasn't been for more than a decade, so I'm not sure why people keep saying this. And Katy should be smart enough to hire the next hit producer.
Madonna is more talented, yes but let's not act as if she's a vocalist or as if she stops herself from writing dumb lyrics like Katy. You can't know about Madonna more than me and trust me she does have some really silly lyrics.
As long as Katy makes dancy music she'll be fine and releases a serious song here and there she'll be fine just like Madonna. People obviously aren't 100% here for her as a serious artist, and she shouldn't necessarily be one.
Conclusion: Katy can last 20 years with the right music and the right decisions and that depends on whether she's smart and I guess greedy (as proven by Madonna outlasting many musicians who are more talented in the conventional sense). My answer for now is "It depends".
