If you lived in the 80's you would have appreciated Cyndi talentwise the same way you appreciate Gaga today. Madonna was, and is still just an industry slave who did whatever would get money and success. She and her team were genuises at marketing. All the success she has had isn't organic and natural, it was done by playing the game. That's why she is such a cold, bitter and insecure old woman today

Can u please stop comparing Gaga and Katy to Madonna and Cyndi though. No single career will ever be the same to the other one thats just plain stupid

Madonna was breaking barriers left and right at the 80's ever since her 2nd album Like a Virgin and kept doin it till True Blue her 3rd studio album and then Like a Prayer happened and you know the rest.

Madonna wasn't playing safe back then like Katy now. Remember the Like a Virgin performance on the very first MTV music awards?

she did that on her 2nd album girl incase you didnt know

Or you know, Madonna survived coz she has amazing music, is a hard worker, and is one of the best performers ever, and that is why her tour outsold everyone without effort even though she was like 52-53 years old

Prism was also supposed to be the biggest flop of the year, even after they seen Roar's numbers.

I'm not sure, it's a tricky thing to try and guess. Paula Abdul for example, she is not making music but she is still 'relevent' thanks to her celebrity. i think Katy will follow a similar path in the sense that she will cash in on her celebrity and not so much with music when she is old.

Just because she's the BIGGEST everything right now doesnt mean she's not gonna shrink down later. Gaga was once the biggesy and most succesful artist in the digital era too, look where she is now. But this is not about gaga haha lol but u get my point

She's been om the publics eye since 2010 thats 4 years now nonstop releasing singles she could send to #1 left and right. The time will come that the general public will get tired of her antics (poppy generic songs, childish music vids) since she doesnt have the talent to back all these success up. She cant even entertain people properly how can an artist who cant give her fans a good performance/show last in this industry?
