In the note he cites Proverbs 31, which is a Bible passage that is a praise of the good wife, a definition of a perfect wife or "ideal woman", stating, among other things that a virtuous woman must be a mother, respect her husband's wishes, prepare healthy food for her family, serve her husband, be a homemaker, and seek her husband's approval before spending money.
