Just accept the failure. No amount of rhetoric changes reality, and it especially doesn't strengthen your argument to act as if you know her desires beyond what she explicitly said.
All you have done is give excuses after excuses.
You seem to have an excuse for others' success and an excuse for your fave's underperformance.
