No matter how hard the gay activist tried, being straight will remain the norm of the society. It might change, but not now. Maybe 20 years from now? Idk. Let's just hope.
No it's not, but that doesn't mean its unnatural or bad because clearly it isn't, however it doesn't take a genius to tell that Heterosexuality is the "factory settings" of a human sexuality from a biological point of view. However there obviously is a reason for people being Gay so yet again don't assume I'm hating on it because I'm not.
In liberal, western-influenced community, it is becoming something normal. But not in several conservative communities, sadly. I still keep on believing that people in my home country will accept the LGBTs as soon as possible (although it would be nearly impossible since most of them are Muslims)
"Normal" is the wrong word, because it implies "the norm" and homosexuality isn't the norm. However, not being the norm/standard is not neccissarily a bad thing and in this case it isn't.
But, if we're asking "is homosexuality becoming a non-issue?", then I'd say it's increasingly becoming true and it's almost/is a non-issue in numerous places.
In the UK, my experience is that people don't care. We're still shaking off prejudice and stereotypes from previous generations but the majority have no issue.
It's not normal in that it's not the "norm" -- the vast majority are people are heterosexual. But of course it is entirely acceptable just like any other private expression of love.
