As outlined in the first amendment, it prohibits the creation of any law that impedes on certain rights, including, but not limited to "right to peaceably assemble." They had to actually get a permit, THROUGH THE STATE OF GEORGIA, and pay a fee to do this. Because of the first amendment, since this was organized through the state, the state has to protect them.
Ridiculous, but it's the law.
They exist in small numbers like this, but the majority have just renamed themselves (like the National Rifle Association).
