What is Normcore? Is it a new processor? Is it the new Kevin James comedy? No. It's a new fashion trend, or antitrend if you will. Although some would argue that any antitrend has the possibility of becoming a trend in itself, which is certainly what seems to be happening here.
Normcore: stylized blandness, or letting go of the need to stand out, to look like an individual and be distinctive. Dressing to look like ''normal/generic'' people. Not making any fashion statement, apart from the statement of not making a statement.
Not a loser, not yet a hipster.

Normcore is about embracing the generic commercial clothing that is bland and most importantly blank. Essentially creating a blank canvas, in a way. A washed out identity that doesn't stand out in the crowd.

I've read a few articles about this and I have mixed feelings about this. There are many different types of people who have embraced this trend for different reasons. ( wearing it ironically[the worst kind of people] , wearing for comfortableness , hipsters, those anti-fashion tech-startup founders, etc.)
Of course, as with every trend, it will eventually become obsolete.
