Playthroughs were fun, and finding shinies though friend safari was fun and super exciting because they were still rare.
Then talk about it on the thread got flamed because people didn't like shiny talk. They just wanted to talk about their personal lives or nothing at all.
Then people got stupid about trading wanting perfect damn shinies, and all the hard earned shinies were useless unless you bred them with a damn hacked ditto or use pokecheck or something stupid, and it started getting less fun then.
Then people started cheating and now they can make "legit" ones in like 5 seconds. Which makes all pokemon worth nothing now...
So now the only part I was finding fun is useless and the excitement of finding a shiny after hatching 1200 eggs is gone.

The **** is this , ya'll seriously? I'm working right now 6:00 to 2:30 every damn day doing a job I hate that not only makes me depressed but gives me anxiety attacks, and wake up every morning at 4:00AM, and don't get home until around 4PM.
