See now here is the thing a doctor has to go through:
4 years of undergrad (making no money)
3 years of Med School (can't make any money because it is against the rules to work, so only loans)
4 more years of training (you make 32k)
Note, at this time, the average Doctor student loans are at 600k and interest is still adding. But by all means, if you don't want doctors to pay off their students loans and live poor go ahead.
Also, if you have insurance, you don't pay for getting your temperature checked.
I'm for universal health care by the way.
