Undeserved? it swept the technical awards because it was by far the most realistic outer space movie of all time, and probably had the best effects of all time, period. I doubt you've even seen it, otherwise you'd know how incredible its visual effects, cinematography, sound editing, etc were.

Gravity deserved Best Picture just because of that, not mentioning the fact that Sandra carried the movie almost entirely on my own, and there being only one other actor in it. The critics and box office agree
