The lowdown:Bangerz opens with this slow and steady love song, in which Miley professes her profound love for Liam Hemsworth and suggests their impending marriage is fated by God. It’s a far cry from the rest of the album, which mostly details the relationship as it comes to a long and drawn-out end. But look closely and the cracks already seem to be appearing here; there’s a dark undertone to lines like “Baby, baby, are you listening?” that hint he was gone long before she ever realized.
ATRL says...: "One of the best R&B ballads of 2013 #sorrynotsorry," lovesong wrote. "The vulnerability and passion she delivers! The simplicity of the lyrics works in its favour and it feels like you're getting an inner-look at someone who is so desperately in love." stereo.love thought "the first verse is so good." Dark Miracles asserted, "This song far outdoes Bangerz's other singles. It's very easy on the ears, but I surprisingly appreciate its hook a lot." helloDer disagreed, calling it a "horrible single choice and cringeworthy video." J. YONCÉ wondered "Why wasn't this album called Midtempoz?"
Best bit: "Adore You" is a solid song, but I'd like to take this opportunity to point out perhaps the worst lyric in the whole rate: "But when you're near me/I feel like I'm standing with an army/Of men armed with weapons"
