Should these websites be banned altogether instead of putting people in jail for downloading copyrighted music, etc. These websites have also decreased artists chance of sales.
Of course. It must be horrible to spend years working on an album just to know millions of people are taking your hard work for free.

The one argument about file sharing is that it's become a platform for new artists to release mixtapes, free singles and EPs, and by eliminating these sites, you're taking away their ability to share their music. So no. Maybe just monitor these sites more heavily
I download about 35% of my music illegally, I only buy physical albums or songs that I really like on iTunes.
