Taylor Hicks was a goofy guy with subpar vocals and somehow struck a cord with America. David Cook, throughout the season, proved that he wanted to win the competition and made each performance sound epic. I don't understand how someone can compare Taylor Hicks to David Cook.
And while I think David Archuleta is talented and a great singer, I'm not sure if his album is going to have multiple top 40 hits. I think if he takes a Josh Groban approach, he'll sell millions of records. I'm just not buying David Archuleta trying to do pop music. On the other hand, I can see David Cook having multiple hits if he goes the Daughtry route, not the Bo Bice route.
I just hope that RCA lets DC make his own record and not force songs upon him.
