I'm really happy for David Cook. I didn't pay close attention to this season, but based on the times I've watched he is definitely more deserving. I can't wait to hear his album.

David (Archuleta) is just Clay Aiken in a 17 year old's body. Maybe his label will make him have some songs that people his age would actually listen to??

You didn't watch enough. All of these contestants this year were pretty much average at best. This is the worst season ever. People like Syesha, Carly, and Ramielle are waaayyyy better than Cook!
Just because he did ballads on American Idol, doesn't mean he'll do ballads on the album. Jordin Sparks never sang hip-hop/r&b songs on American Idol. David Cook only won because of his looks and not his talent. Even though it's a signing competition, not a popularity one. Also, the winner isn't always the most successful from a season.
