I'm not in support of it , but i'm also not against it. People can love whoever they want as long as the relationship is consensual and in this case, they can't produce any deformed offspring.

But..if they met 4 years ago and he is the half-brother, that boy is either 4 years old or your friend didn't meet him for year even though I hope they're around the same age and they have a same parent? Or is it step-brother?

No... I do NOT support that. And screw the meeting recently crap, HALF brothers are still related by blood which is wrong no matter the circumstance. I'd let step-sibling slide

They're related by father but have different mothers. They knew they had half-siblings but never met them up until four years ago, they are both 25. The father had an affair when married with another woman, which is why they are the same age but several months apart. It's a complicated story I don't know much detail of but I pretty much know the consensus or synopsis of it.

I think it's circumstantial. The OP's friend and his half-brother are basically strangers.

Well I definitely don't support it and I have no interest in it myself. I don't think blood family members should be allowed to get married or have children with each other (although that's obviously harder to keep under control). I think that if you're attracted to your sibling or your parent then you have a mental illness that needs to be dealt with rather then indulging in it. Although I know there are people that will consider that harsh. I just can't sit here and say that I'm okay with the thought of a brother and a sister getting together. I mean, imagine that you had two children by two different women, and the kids came to you one day and said that they were dating. Would you be okay with two of your blood related children who both came from you doing that?

So you think it's okay for government to prohibit marriage as long as it doesn't affect you, right?

I don't think that a parent should be able to get married to their biological child, or for two blood related siblings to get married to each other, no. And I don't think that's judgmental of me.

As long as they don't have the babies then is fine. but if one of them get pregnant I wish there was some sort of punishment for this. So unfair and selfish to bring a baby with defects.
