How famous must my fave be for me to be allowed to post a thread about him? Shouldn't we be allowed to post about our faves as long as they have at least one song out?

My understanding is that posting ability is activated 1 month after joining. So you should be able to in a few days. If I'm incorrect you'll be able to in a month.

Hey! The user itsaphrodisi, who just got banned, has just explained me that the post he was banned for was not meant to be offensive at all.

It was in the thread "Has the Female MJ recognized your fave?" and his post was "Gaga is the Female MJ". Basically he thought the post was about her (since both Gaga and Katy are called "the Female MJ" on here), and he'd like mods to reconsider his ban.

There are countless posts that have been reported that clearly deserve WPs for being "abrasive" or "flamebait" yet mods have not 1) Issued the appropriate WPs or 2) asked the member to cool it. We come on this forum to discuss music and make light of our faves. This member is mean spirited and trolling. There are many "already reported" posts from 24 hours or more ago that have not been met with action and this - to me - indicates bias or a lack of attention from moderators.
