Are you dumb? We would never see Pearl Jam or Metallica on the Hot 100 in recent times... let alone pop and rap music that doesn't necessarily suck rhino dick.
When we still has taste in this country, you didn't have to make a song about getting "licked like a lollipop" or getting low in the club to have a number 1 hit. An era when you still had real urban ARTISTS like Aaliyah, Mya, Donell Jones, Jay-Z, Joe, Nas on the charts, now you have talentless crap like V.I.C., Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Ray J, Plies, Rick Ross. An era where you still had real pop music that wasn't wannabe hip-hop. There's no comparison. The United States now has by far the worst most appalling music charts in the world. The late 2000s (2006-present) specifically are without a doubt one of the worst times for music ever. Something needs to change here and fast.
