Taylor's voice hasn't even touched the third octave.
I used to be okay with her live voice, but she irritates me so much.
It doesn't even sound like she's whispering (Selena) or Gasping for air (Katy), she sounds like a zombie apocalypse every time she opens her mouth and I'm not exaggerating.
It's true though. While Taylor does have award show performances misses (Grammys 2010, AMAs 2010, BRITs 2013), most of the times she doesn't give a bad award show performance.
EDIT: NOT christ posting the awful 2013 BRITS performance in attempt to show that she's more vocally capable
Katy can sing, I know she's not that terrible. But trying to make her seem more vocally capable than Taylor with her barely-there low register is not really convincing me.
And I can see you years from now in a bar
Talking over a football game
With that same big loud opinion
But nobody's listening
Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things
Drunk and grumbling on about how I can't sing
Nope Taylor has exceeded expectations at very big performances too!
True, she was good there. More often than not though it seems like her vocals get pretty pitchy when she does big performances like that. Same with Katy, I'm staying unbiased in this debate because I like them both a lot

It's not true. That's not really singing. That's not even American Idol second auditions level singing.
Taylor's strength is her melodies, lyrics and her show's production.
I mean if some of you guys stan for your faves (Katy and Taylor for a relevant example) because of their vocals, then...
I have Johnsuxx on ignore so you know I'm not siding with him here.

Katy has a larger range and stronger voice than Taylor, she just doesn't know how to use it at all when she's moving around. Taylor is a lot more consistent.

I don't stan for Taylor because of her vocals. Taylor is a weak vocalist. That Katy stan got on my nerves though with the delusion that Katy's acoustic performances are flawless (They are better than her choreographed ones, but they are by no means flawless). Not with those low notes, that projection or those belts, for God's sake.
