I don't had any acne in my adolescence because in my family, no one has it, fortunately. I saw one viral video of a girl who use make up to cover her acne and in her other videos I saw, that she use honey or some special treatment with honey to heal her severe acne.
There's a lot of people who vlog those kind of things. You can check their vids on youtube.
I don't remember the name of the girl, but if I find her, I'll post here.
I had a terrible outbreak when I was 17, then it was managed. Then I had pimples, one or two here and there always, and the outbreak returned two years ago.
I've used a range of products -spending hundreds on expensive facial cleansers, etc. But those only aggravated my condition. Same thing with my sister - she had clear skin but until recently she had outbreaks. And so she does masks and all but they just made it worse (but she wouldn't listen to me). I also went on a trip with a friend who had bad acne - and I saw his beauty routine. 5+ bottles of abrasive skincare (acidic content, etc.) it was scary.
Anyway, I've found a miracle in Manuka Honey. If you Google it a lot of people swear by it as well. You have to use the good ones, with high UMF. You just apply it all over your face for 20 to 30 mins, 3 times a week. I put it on for an hour. For the first 2 weeks or so you might get an outbreak because your skin is purging. Stick it out and after that phase, it's marvelous. I've had no outbreaks anymore --rarely do I get the occasional pimple.
My face also feels very clean after doing the honey mask. I hope it works for you - of course, results vary from individuals. If I do get a pimple, I do the mask and the next day it's flattened.
I've also used lemon and applied it to my face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes. It's omg - your skin is like a baby's buttock after it.
I'd stay clear of those expensive cleansers... esp those with acidic content. I just get a $10 cleanser, with acne control and I'm good.
What cleansers does everyone use? The only one that hasn't irritated or dried out my skin is Spectro Jel. I have tried so many sensitive skin cleansers and my face just burns after a while.
I used basically every mainstream acne product that's applied topically for two years for my moderate acne and none of them worked I should've went to the GP earlier to get a tablet prescription because now I have two permanent small dimple marks Could've been worse though.

Dr Organic manuka honey face scrub once every few days and their dead sea minerals cleanser every day when i dont use the scrub i dont really suffer from acne but i get a lot of spots in concentrated areas and their stuff is amazing
if i run out i make my own stuff with honey and brown sugar
Idk I used to get it in high school but nothing serious, just a breakout here or there. I don't really get it now. I just wash my face twice a day and that's it lol
