Being ignorant is only bad if the person is willingly ignorant and unwilling to see things from other points of view/learn about the subject at hand. Otherwise, it's just a description.
We are all ignorant but we choose to ignore different things. However being called an ignorant is not nice. So I say we look for intelligent arguments instead. Note that I don't always practice this but I try. Sort of.
I don't get the point of calling someone ignorant in the first place. If you really wanted to change someone's viewpoint you wouldn't be insulting their current way of thinking at all.
No. Ignorant just means that you aren't fully educated/aware on whatever topic you're discussing. That you may be choosing to not see the whole picture because you don't want to. I don't really see how that's a personal insult. It's barely even an insult tbh.
A lot of people I know use it as an insult IRL. I HATE when dumb ass bitches call other people ignorant when they don't know what it means. It's an annoying kind of irony.
Yes. It's alright to perpetuate casual racism, sexism, homophobia and general foolishness and delusion, but if you try to clock anyone for any of those things, you're out of line.
Apparently. I got warned for "trolling" and banned from a thread because I pointed out how a member keeps mentioning his black relatives whenever he reveals his bigotry and called out on it.
