I came to the UK for an internship of six months, but I realized pretty quickly that I never wanna go back home. So provided I can find a job, I'll stay
Yes, I used to imagine moving to Australia and staying there for a couple years just to see what it's like. That's really far away though and it'd cost a lot to even get there in the first place so that's kinda on the back burner for now
I think if it's something you really want then you can make it happen! Like the good sis Mariah said:
If you believe
Within your soul
Just hold on tight
And don't let go
You can make it
Make it happen
I think it's great to do something like this - to go away and just take a risk. At least you can look back in life with no regrets then and say tat you did something.
I'm in Kent
And oh that website looks super helpful & interesting! I'll have to bookmark it and check it out properly when I'm closer to leaving uni! Do you know what kinda job you'll be doing out there? Do they find you a place to stay or do you find your accommodation yourself?
Aah cool . I have a friend not far from Kent - Tunbridge Wells?
The job they help you find is usually on a resort and it can be anything like kitchen staff, ski resort operator, hotel staff etc. From what I've been told you can stay on the resort and the rent is taken out of your wages. You can find your own job and accommodation too, I believe.
@ smaller earth only have Spain & US for Work & Travel
Awwww no sorry they don't have Finland or Italy . They're actually really helpful so maybe if you email them they could advise you on how to go about going to one of those two?
I would love to, but I have to take care of my family . Last time I moved out of state my Dad unexpectatly passed away, and I never got to see him again . I don't want the same thing to happen again. Which is sad, because I've always wanted to see the world and live in other places, but I feel like that is impossible at this point.
