Tomorrow, the UK Singles Chart is released. And this weeks two main contenders for the number one spot are, The Ting Tings and Rihanna. Both released on Sunday 11 May 2008, they both entered the top 20 on iTunes within hours. By the next day, both were top 5. Rihanna has held the number one spot on iTunes since Tuesday without a sign of falling. And The Ting Tings have been at number two since Tuesday also, but That's Not My Name is the number one physical cd single in the UK, which should boost its sales also. Just remember at this time last year, Umbrella went to number one in the UK for a blistering and also unbearable 10 weeks. If The Ting Tings make number 1, it will be astonishing. They've released 2 previous singles, and That's Not My Name and Great DJ are both re-releases, they were both released last year, and never entered the Top 100, so getting to number one, without ever entering the top 100, and already have releasing previous singles, it would be great for the band. ^ I mean I love both songs so much, but if The Ting Tings get to number one, then I know I will go right off it. Because looking back at this years number ones, 5 Weeks - 5 Weeks - 4 Weeks - 4 Weeks, and I've got tired of all of them basically, so if it gets to number one I'll end up hating it, and I really don't want to because they're my favourite band right now, so I'd much prefer Rihanna going to number one and continuing the reign of the females year!
Eurghh this is a hard one for me cus 'Take A Bow' isn't Rihanna's greatest song but The Ting Tings song isn't amazzzze either, I only like the beginning :X
