Katy's Dark Horse video was re-uploaded on Youtube with an edited image without losing it's views, likes and comments (see this thread: http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=525483 )

What do you think about this? This is nothing against Katy. But I'm asking if Youtube should be allowed to do that? After all they could literally change several pictures of any Youtube video and still have your "Like" and "Comment" on it.

Someone could screencap your positive comment for something in the video that was later edited in and you may not approve (of course there is always Photoshop anyway)

I know this is not a "major" change in the video but it worries me that they could exploit their power for something bigger.

So, should this be illegal or should Youtube put a disclaimer saying what they changed in general?

Am just guessing but I think the US Government has bigger problems than Youtube rules.

Well I guess if it's for a small difference it shouldn't matter.

I'm just questioning that maybe someday they may re-upload something with a bigger difference lol.

I think it's a feature that you can upload new edits content and keep all of your metadata..
