I'm planning to go to Concordia University in Montreal majoring in Accounting, with a minor in Finance.

I will be turning down McGill University largely because it didn't quite fit me as a student (too serious, and cut throat), although I *should* (they still haven't released their decision) be admitted into their Accounting program as well.

Honestly, the brand of the university doesn't matter as much as you ensuring you do well, and get some experience along the way.

UofT is a great school (probably the best in Canada), but it is extremely demanding and difficult. Quite honestly, where you get your undergrad degree doesn't really matter. Just make sure you get a kick ass GPA to open your possibilities (i.e. grad school, etc.).

Side note: Waterloo is also a great school, with a lot of connections. Like I said though, the name attached on your undergrad degree won't get you as far as people think

For example, my sister graduated from Concordia with a great GPA and now has an amazing job in the Financial sector (scouted before graduating), even though Concordia is hardly recognized. Whereas my cousin graduated from McGill (with a BA), and has been unemployed for almost a year.
