Nowadays there are a bunch of TV shows that would have fit perfectly into one or two movies or even a trilogy. Instead shows with great concepts get dragged on for multiple seasons over the course of several years and get lost in unnecessary storylines.

For me the best example is Pretty Little Liars, this could have been a perfect movie trilogy.

Revenge would've worked better as a movie than a dragged out television show.

Freaks and Geeks
All of American Horror Story, they create a bunch of plots and just decide to end it quickly.

I think all 3 American Horror Story seasons would have been killer movies!

The Walking Dead feels like one long movie.

I LOVE Fringe just the way it is, but it probably could've also made a great movie trilogy.

Any mystery-ish type of show in general would've done better as a movie. You just can't drag them out for multiple seasons

I agree! Even though I love the show. But I don't think a movie would be able to capture the characters or the story like the show does

I think that if Asylum was a 2 hr 30 min movie it would literally be the biggest hit in years

Oh and Desperate Housewives should have been a movie because they clearly didn't preplan out anything beyond Season 1

Totally. They start off with great premises, but in order to keep the show going, they have to get ridiculous. That's what's great about American Horror Story -- you know that at the end of the season, they are going to tie up all the loose ends. No cliffhangers. Cliffhangers on shows like Pretty Little Liars drive me crazy.

The last season and ending were amazing.

American Horror Story should of have been a book series too.
