If there's anyone who is making stereotypes, it's you who is marginalizing the Latin market and trying to make it seem irrelevant or even worse, unable to afford tickets
You think the people who bought her tickets are the ones who heard She Wolf on Pop Radio (where it got bad airplay/so so airplay at best and didn't get played that long) over the ones who heard it on Latin Radio (where it was a huge smash)?

#11 on Pop radio and the Billboard Hot 100 is respectable. I never said it was a "huge hit", but I know better than to pretend that Shakira was some huge void among general American audiences when she had a respectable hit right on Top 40 radio.
She also had "Waka Waka", which went Platinum in the U.S. largely due to its viral success on Youtube. Let me guess…. only the Latin market viewed the video, right? Am I doing it right?
There are a myriad of reasons why Shakira was able to tour in the United States. She has a 360 deal with Live Nation because she is viewed as a bankable singer and touring artist. If anything, it was the success of "Waka Waka", that gave her enough support to tour strongly, but if you want to hold to your "latin market" idea, have fun with that. It's like how "Sale El Sol" went Diamond with 500,000 copies in France. Oh, it must have been the Latin market.
If you can't fathom that she has other fans, that's your own issue.
