Rutgers University in the US has recently announced that they will be offering a degree in the politics of Beyoncé.
The class uses Ms Knowles’ career to explore American race, gender and sexual politics. Students will also analyse her lyrics alongside readings from black feminists. (...)
Rutgers is a pretty prestigious college though. I doubt many people would prepare their entire life to get to that point only to end up majoring in Beyonce It might be cute for a class but a degree?

Can you say extracurricular? It's probably a course under an umbrella degree, ie Business administration, Marketing, ect. It's not that difficult to understand. More than likely it's no more than 5 courses all together.
I've heard of a major in country music and bluegrass studies but to study only an artist, one whose impact on human history hasn't been that great, is too much. Brown offers a degree in media/TV studies....I think studying Beyonce or Gaga or Springsteen or whoever goes well with that major but a major in Beyonce is just too much....what's next?

Consider this as a 2nd degree you would study just because... Actually people who are interested in business side of music can study this since Beyoncé is the biggest female artist of our generation.
