I was just jamming to MTN whilst walking home and it's such an anthem.
Was imagining what my dream performance of it would have been, and I came up with:
Gaga, alone, in a spotlight. She is wearing a white paper wedding dress as she sings the opening verse. When the beat kicks in, the dress catches fire and in a blink of an eye is burnt away, revealing her black leather NYC hooker get up. The stage is now illuminated revealing a NYC scene complete with a few burnt out cars. Dancers join her for the chorus choreography. During the second verse she is given a leather jacket and fishnet gloves to put on. More dancers join her. As the bridge begins, she climbs on top of the middle car. When the chorus returns, the cars either side of her car 'explode' on fire. She returns to the dancers on stage, is given her keytar as she plays. The dancers go nuts with the choreography, she's jamming on the keytar and during 'the niiiight, the niiiiight etc' more pyro explosions happen to the music. The performance ends with blinding white light and the sound of a huge explosion.

As long as you get rid of that tacky "phoenix rising from the ashes" end of the original music video, you can do what you want. Unlike Born This Way - Marry The Night deserves justice and a second music video. Even if the original music video slays and is her third best.

The song that truly deserves a second music video is TEOG

Yeah Marry The Night has really grown on me. The monotonous melody was a turnoff at first but I really like it now. The last minute

Interscope has almost always let Gaga have full control over her music and decisions (of course Interscope has influenced single choices, but Gaga ultimately had the final say - for example, Bad Romance over BBB, Alejandro over Dance in the Dark, every BTW single; in addition, going back to the "original" ARTPOP - it was Gaga's decision to scrap it and start fresh, even though some people have said that she played it for Interscope and they didn't like it. She was still putting together the idea for ARTPOP in her head, and what we have now was all Gaga's decision - the "original" ARTPOP will end up looking a lot like Act II in terms of themes and content).
Troy, on the other hand, became more controlling and divisive as time went on. My guess would be after the BTW era ended on relatively messy terms, Troy did not want to let that happen again, and felt he had to control Gaga's vision in order to make it successful. In the end, however, his control over her derided any vision for the era she had. Choosing Applause as the first single and rush-releasing it when it started leaking killed every plan she had for the era. As I mentioned before, choosing DWUW over Venus was Troy's decision, but Gaga ultimately went with it because she planned on firing Troy and thought it would still hold up well with a half-assed marketing plan. Basically, Troy was in it for the money, and although he probably had good intentions in wanting to make Gaga as popular again as possible, he wasn't making the right decisions, and he was limiting Gaga's creative potential and forcing her to do an era she didn't want to do at the same time.
I hope this makes sense. I'm just really glad Gaga is free to do what she wants again, because at least in my book, that's when Gaga is at her best.

So it her decision to release Judas as a single and The Edge of Glory as a promo single? I always blamed Interscope.

So, Troy was fired approx 4 months ago, right? So far, the free Lady Gaga was even bigger mess than she was with Troy. TBH.

But Gaga said Interescope forced her with the BTW singles (at least the first ones).
