5/27 Rhythm/Crossover
Git Fresh "Booty Music" (Island Urban/IDJMG)
Lil' Mama "I Am What It Is (Strike A Pose)" (Jive/Zomba) Lil' Wayne f/T-Pain "Got Money" (Cash Money/Universal Motown)
Big Boi f/Andre 3000 & Raekwon "Royal Flush" (La Face/Zomba)
"Milli" is just a "street" single.
I heard thier planning a music video though but "Got Money" is the official 2nd single. The video has already been shot.
I actually find it pretty hilarious how Wayne has gotten all this goodwill from hip-hop fans for his post Carter II work, and now for the songs actually from Tha Carter III it seems like he just doesn't care. The way his album is shaping up, it's going to cause one of the biggest backlashes in some time. I really hope it doesn't and he puts out a great album, but i'm not so sure now.
I'm not sure what to think atm. I kind of figured Lollipop was a one time thing but apparently he's really getting into the voicebox effect. I hope the album isn't full of it because he has too much lyrical talent to let this crap drown it out.
He is gonna lose his fanbase, fans like me can take these type of songs. "Lollipop" was soo amazing, but this is just lackluster. IDK, maybe if I download the HQ. It doesn't sound bad, just not that good right now.
I was positive that "The Carter III" would sell over 500,000 in the first week, now i'm iffy because of all these sell-out singles. He's giving in to the mainstream croud that looks at him like a Souja Boy or Rihanna and will only download his singles, he's gonna lose his real fans that are the ones who will actually buy his album.
