My friends and I are moving into the island part of the city we live in for the summer. It is 4 of us and will most likely rent out to 2 foreign students to make the experience a lot more fun. This is the first time i will be living with other people other then my family and i am pretty excited yet nervous at the same time. Do any of ya'll have any experiences with Roommates? good or bad. Please do share
Here is the picture of the island we will be living in downtown so the area closer to the bottom of the picture where all the fun stuff is at.

Roomate #1: Got along very well, very friendly. One time though we got locked IN our room. Something having to do with the door handle/lock broke/jammed so we tried to open it and it wouldn't open from our door room, so we had to call people to get us out (workers at the school) Looking back it's funny as hell.
Roomate #2/#3: Very quiet, didn't talk much at all. He even left his iphone in the bathroom and I gave it to him, and mumbled thanks without even looking up. Came home a bit drunk once with a really arrogant male friend who was visiting, who said that he could get any girl to sleep with him by slipping a roofie in her drink. Roomate ended up moving to a different college with no explanation, so I got a new roomate, and he was super kind, and friendly.
haven't had a roomate in the past 2 years now, been dorming alone

In my freshman year of college, I had a roommate who farted and belched a lot in my presence. He never excused himself and I thought that was disgusting. Also, he used to smoke cigarettes in the dorm. Thank goodness I only had to live with him for a month. The new roommate I found was better and I didn't have any problems with him.

A year and a half ago I lived across the street from the hotel I used to work at and I worked in housekeeping, the other dude I lived with worked in the Restaurant & we never even spoke cuz he was an egotistical mess. I remember he thought I wasn't home and my room was right next to the living room. I heard him having sex with someone but only a man grunting so I thought it was him..
30 mins later, I walked out my room to go to the bathroom and saw him and his "best friend," who also worked with him, in his bedroom playing video games.

My freshman year of college, I just had a random roommate and it was a great experience. He was nice, the first semester we both didn't know anybody so we just hung out. We played pranks on our floor mates and stuff like that. Second semester, he joined a fraternity, so I didn't see him as much after, and we stopped hanging out because he was always busy. He got messier and started coming home late at night drunk more often, but that kind of stuff doesn't really bother me.
If you have a great roommate, they can make your experiences great. If you have a crappy roommate, just ignore them or get moved out. It's not like you're married to them.

I DESPISED my freshman roommate. Absolutely ****ing hated his guts, the useless, smelly, good-for-nothing, Momma's boy, spoiled, manner-less, people-using scum that he was. Towards the end of the year I accidentally sent him a VICIOUS text about him that was meant for someone else, didn't even care tbh bc it was all out in the open finally. I get sick to my stomach when I see him around campus sometimes still (on days where he manages to get out of bed, that is).

Freshmen year of college I shared a floor with a couple of people (co-ed) but my roommate was a hardcore Beyoncé fan.
You can imagine the mess that would happen on that floor

I WISH I RECORDED HIIIIIMMMMMMM
My First semester in college, my room mate was from Cameroon Africa. I loved him, he was great.
But I would go home on the weekends, and leave one my macbook on my desk. He didn't have a computer so I didn't care if he used it.
But one weekend I came back and there was all this damn **** in my history. He claimed it wasn't him, and I told him it's cool and I understand its life. But I was pissed.
Not pissed at him for watching ****, but pissed that he was so illiterate that he didn't know that he should of cleared his history, and that I didn't install a trojan to record him in the act for my own personal records.

I go to a community college so I haven't had any roommate experiences. But believe it or not, we had to create an extra room in our garage for this old lady my Mom let stay with us for like one month or so. She had been kicked out of every other place she went to and me and my Mom soon find out why when she stayed with us.
She drove my Mom nuts. She has a home office and she is the main breadwinner of our household so she had to work but she would always interrupt her. Like every 15 minutes, she would slam the garage door, go smoke, then come inside our house and slam THAT door and then bother Mom and the cycle kept going on. She almost set one of potted plants on fire by putting a cigarette butt in it. She was 70 years old but acted like she was 5.
She was gone by the start of August and she's dead now I think. She was with us in 2008 so I think she died maybe three years ago.
Then last year my Mom had to let these two musicians stay with us because they made the dumb mistake of driving all the way from New York with very little money to play gigs out here in L.A. and their van broke down somewhere along the way so my Mom had to have them stay with us. It was supposed to be for 90 days, but they were just psycho people. They were a couple, but he was 60 years old and she was 23. The age difference was just And he would also smoke and he was 60 and acted like a brat and they would leave dirty dishes everywhere and bother Mom when she was in her room and they called her an evil woman and what not. She paid them like 5000 bucks to get them out of our house. And they stole equipment from her too. They were just psycho.

I swear I had the weirdest roommate my orientation. It was a while back, but I dunno he seemed strange. Don't get me wrong he was cool, bit I couldve sworn I saw him standing beside my bed while I pretended to be asleep. I also remember seeing my shoes and a pair of.boxers on his side of the room. Icouldve sworn I left them on my side, but I dunno maybe I forgot.
I feel like he stared at me a lot, it got really weird at times.
Oh, and I think he stole a pair of my headphones I bought that day. I remember him complaining about how his just broke. Oh well, parting gift I guess.
