no different lanes. Lorde makes non generic snap-beat, hip hop tinged minimalist dream-pop while lana makes generic samey indie pop thats been done to death, with somewhat pleasing aesthetics. so both can co-exist due to being incomparable

Yes, tbh. Royals is a smash, and she is winning awards left and right. Granted, Lana is successful and has a successful album. But, Lorde did steal the spotlight from her.

That wouldn't work, because most people that come into these threads don't stan for either and only use one to get at the other.
I'm not going to point any fingers, but you have 20/20 vision so I'm sure that you see what I mean.
Well, maybe Lana and Lorde stans should just clock those who don't stan for either creating a flamebait situation. And the attemps for dragging either the one or the other have become pretty much stale in these threads.
Oh my God, Lorde fans do such a disservice to their fave it's unreal. The new BTW lil' monsters tbh. Wow, can these comparisons stop? This is legit the fourth time I have seen the same topic come up on ARTL. Why so pressed? Lana fans aren't innocent but it always seems like Lorde fans lead the way in aggression. It's funny, her stan's arguments go against the little I know of Lorde as a person.
I remember that thread one year ago when someone posted the video of Royals and asked if Lorde would be the next Lana, to which many people gave a kii.
