People think we have venomous spiders and snakes everywhere when it's really just in the outback. It's really not that bad. I mean I've seen a few tiger snakes and grass snakes but it's not something you need to constantly worry about unless you live near bush land. I'd be more concerned about sharks tbh.
I have been bitten before but I didn't see what kind of spider it was, and while it was painful I didn't get medical treatment (aside from putting Stingoes on it) and I was fine. Wasp stings are the worst though, and fire ant bites are almost unbearable.
No I haven't thankfully but my best friend got bitten on the eye in her sleep and she had this MASSIVE mark on her eye for months and had to go to hospital and everything.
Worse thing I've been bitten was by a bee lmfao but I see spiders in my house all the time.
A friend found a snake in his backyard, got a shovel and speared right through it cutting it in two. He went to put the shovel away, put the tail section in the bin and as he went to reach for the head section the snake lurched up and bit his arm. it was cut in half and dead for like 30mins but came back to life and bit him. At the hospital he was told apprently it's very common. Cutting it in two won't kill it
