NO. there ARE problems in that country! especially with freedom of speech and anti gay laws: the exact issues madonna always speaks out about! so she should stay quiet? why?
why do you people have to be so literal all the time? no there is no actual "war" in russia, but it doesn't always have to be war for people to wake up and join the masses and scream "free (this country)" she's been supporting ***** riot for YEARS and the same with being against the anti homo laws. jeez. i bet if she didn't say anything she'd get a ton of **** for it

I didnt expect this from you
I know about the problems in Russia, about corruption, about censorship and journalists like Michail Beketov, Oleg Kašin, Anna Politkovska etc., about the anti-gay politics and I understand what M meant, but I see also the disinformations and negativity aimed at Russia. Russia has some very serious problems, but there is also a propaganda to show the country in a very negative light by western, especially American media and people are easily manipulated by that.
This is comming from someone whose country was occupied by Soviets for decades (Prague Spring, Soviet invasion of Czechslovakia). I was born when my people were fighting for our freedom in streets during Velvet revolution. This is coming from someone living only 1000 km from Kiev, watching with great concern how things are developping there. So give me a break.
