Based on estimates after sony announced ps4 sold 5.3 m until february 8 and the famitsu numbers for ps4 322k on its japan launch. Ps4 has now outsold wii u's worldwide sales after 3 months.

I personally don't consider the Wii U as a next gen , most people still think it is the same thing as the Wii , so they don't bother checking it out .

What you and others consider next gen is irrelevant. The fact is that Wii U is a next gen console competing in the same market as the PS4 and Xbox One.

As someone who owns Wii U and PS4, I'm projecting the truth.

The console wars are sillier than the stan wars but wasn't the whole Wii U release a total mess and there was like nothing to even play on it?

PS4 deserves to do well though, I think I may abandon xbox and choose that when I get a next gen console.

The PS4 is the best next gen console. However, it won't truly peak until FFXV/KH3 are released.

We're seriously going through another waning phase for the videogame industry. It'll be crazy to see if in two or three generations we get another Super Nintendo/PS2/Wii.
