It really does come down to preferences though. Even though I beg to disagree that Born This Way was less alienating to the GP than ARTPOP. While Born This Way pretty much restricted her demographic to mostly the gays as opposed to her GP accessible/relatable previous smashes, ARTPOP is not any less alienating with lyrics about koons and art and pop belonging together. While the album does have a party vibe, it is nowhere near as accessible as songs like Just Dance, Paparazzi or LoveGame.

Well, it alienated me for a very long time. I remember me and my two best buds bopping to Poker Face,DITD, Telephone on the radio while driving around. I also remember us switching the station when BTW came. They never played Judas here.
Also, with Applause and DWUW people started kinda feeling her again. On Jan 3 rd I was on a birthday party and there was a setlist containing 150 various songs, incl both mentioned. DWUW was easily the most played song of that night. EASILY. It had so much potential.
For me DWUW or G.U.Y. or even MANiCURE are just as accessible as JD or LoveGame.
