Why is going to a community college viewed as a bad thing?
I've noticed a lot of the comments on here shade and drag people that go to community colleges, and I've been dissed myself for currently going to one.
But what is so bad about it? It's cheaper then a four year university and it's convenient for people from all different areas of life.
This is a site where a musician can make several hundreds and thousands of dollars and have over 1 million twitter followers and be labeled a "flop and irrelevant".
A lot of people go to a community college to save money and then they transfer to a better school.
Anyone with a half a brain would recognize this.
I did my first 2 years at a community college & transferred to the best university in my state.
It doesn't matter how you get there as long as you get there.
I'd rather hate on someone who doesn't even care enough to try.
Honestly, I REALLY regret not going to community college for two years then transferring to the university I'm in now. You get the same exact degree for so much less money I wish there wasn't such a stigma towards it.
I know! I think as long as you're planning to transfer to a 4 year college after that, then you're fine. Its cheaper, it will save so much, much more money. I am planning to take that route after high school.
There are SOME people that go to community college because they didn't get into a bigger school or can't afford one so some scrubs judge. There is also a lack of perceived prestige at a community college.
Honestly doing basics and getting tons of credits at a community college saves money so there really is no problem to it, and unless you are trying to be the CEO of a fortune 500 company or run for president no one gives a **** where you get your degree from.
Forget the haters and get a degree and work experience because that is all that really matters to employers.

Honestly, the money I saved doing my first 2 years at CC was >>>>>
Not trying to brag, but I graduated with my 4-year degree last year completely debt-free, & I definitely think going the CC -> transfer route helped me do that.
It's saving me a ton of money, so I don't care what other people think.
I'm paying for my education, so of course I'm gonna take the best route for my personal situation.
I'm gonna transfer to the best university in my state once I get my Associates in Business anyways.
Over half of these people on here are still in high school. At least you are going to college and will transfer to a 4-year institution when you finish, with only a fraction of the debt (if any at all).
Community college is a good deal. I tell all my friends if they don't have scholarships enough to equal community college, go to community college and transfer later. Would save a bunch of money. I only went to my schools because I got a full ride to both undergrad and law.
