Missouri Senate passes law banning gun regulations

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - An effort to nullify federal gun control laws and jail any federal agents trying to enforce them cleared the Missouri Senate Thursday.
“I am proud to say that we have passed arguably one of the strongest Second Amendment protections in the country,” said sponsoring Sen. Brian Nieves, R-Washington.
When the Bill of Rights was passed during the 18th century, they only had muskets. Never in a million years would people think that there would be automatic machine guns etc.
No one said that people can't own guns. These precautions are put in place to make sure others are protected and that the people owning the guns are responsible owners.
Still, incredibly shocked by this considering the high gun violence rate in St. Louis. I don't think it is as high in Kansas City as it is there, especially since they've started enforcing things.
Missouri is odd in that their metro districts are some of the most liberal, democrat areas in the entire Midwest but the hick countryside is all conservative. At least we still have Claire.

Ugh. Our state legislature is ****ing nuts. The governor isn't bad, but he can only oppose so much of their nonsense so he can get reelected

I love Claire McCaskill. She's the best we've got in this state. And yeah, I've seen her grill people in Senate hearings
