I really love the chorus-- it sounds like everything explodes, coming together, and I especially love the more R&B feel during that part. The double key change near the end is pretty dope too, especially from an SNSD track.

The PROBLEM: The verses are EXTREMELY flat and monotone, like they spent the majority of the time working on said chorus and then realized they needed to build a song around it. There's almost a clear jump in production between the verse and chorus. So, overall, the song could've served some further structuring and polishing.

I'm the complete opposite.

They don't need Stargate though. Other SM acts get by without them and they have solid albums and discographies. I think the problem with SNSD, or not them per-say, is there's this expectation with their music, or perhaps lack of expectation, that sort of disappoints their music. Kinda like Lady Gaga, in a sense. People either know their music is going to be amazing or plain terrible, and the general consensus is it's going to be the latter 99.9% of the time. IDK.

You don't see people tearing apart Super Junior or TVXQ or SHINee or f(x) or EXO etc., because there isn't low expectations for them. I don't think many people during the wait for albums from these people think "this could be terrible".

True enough. I mean I have seen Sone's at least the international ones all agree in some form or another that their japanese material >> korean. Expectations for good korean material is low.

OOOh I really like Mr Mr. Underdogs has had better productions, but this is cute for SNSD. This may actually be my favorite song from them thus far. The choruses are the standout to me.

I also think they could benefit working with Stargate.

I just can't understand why SM gives SNSD such crap music. Super Junior, SHINee, even the less successful girlgroup, f(x) all have great discographies and an amazing run of title tracks.

I've always felt that SNSD is the only SM group without a 'distinct sound', and the company just makes them record the cheapest demos they can find.

I would be so here for SNSD working with Stargate. Imagine if Wet by Nicole was their song. That would be a smash imo.

SM is annoying me by hiring these cheap producers for their biggest acts. I'm sure Max Martin and Shellback would work with SNSD. It's not like SM doesn't have the money to afford them.

Mr. Mr. would sound good in English and Japanese though, so maybe that's their plan. I need more English releases from them. Their foreign releases seem to be so good. Japanese discography >>> Korean discography

I think the mini is decent but quite boring overall. Mr. Mr. and Europa are good tracks but the rest is boring. I hope SM have more plans for music this year than just this. Maybe they will try with another English release seeing as though they only released a mini in Korea this time.

I think that's why I was so shocked by their last album being so good(not including the title track). I'd say 70% of their Korean Discography is horrible to me.

Everyone here seems to be getting life from Europa but to me it's like super forgettable.

I was getting STRONG anime teas from the beginning. It's a cute track but nothing special still a fun listen.
I just think of their past korean material and I feel this is gold compared to them.

Back Hug is a great track it's my favorite.

The only good thing about Europa is it shares its name with Europe's most bombed hotel. Belfast, their guerrilla civil war's impact.
