I think increased equality for women is a good thing, but I don't identify with a lost of the postures of feminists. They associate equality and morals too often, and I'm against affirmative action of any kind (the only case where I'd make an exception being for handicaped people).

Yes, however many people get confused with the definition of what a Feminist is and what a Misandrist is, which is why there are so many misconceptions with Feminism. Feminists get a bad rap because those who identify as a Feminist, but are actually a Misandrist confuse those who don't know the difference.

I am a guy and I see myself as a feminist, indeed. I've done countless jobs for school where I kinda defend women's position in the society. And eventhough it seems like they are equal towards men, they really are not.

To the men in this thread saying they aren't feminist, we all need feminism because it's about deconstructing gender stereotypes and treating people as unique individuals independent of their sexual anatomy. You don't need to act or be a certain way just because you have a penis or vagina. You extend way past that. Knowing the amount of LGBTQ members here on ATRL we all need it.

I am all for equality, but I would not label myself under feminism, as I cannot fully define what it is.

In my experience, girls were more likely to support me when I came out as gay, so I feel like we're on each others team in a sense. I even feel like I'm more of a feminist than many other women who will tolerate men who degrade them. Whether it be in music or in their relationship.

Call it something else then. You have an ideology which aims to deconstruct the gender from the biological sex named after one of the biological sexes. There's a huge contradiction there.
