Why has Avril Lavigne's albums been more successful than Britney Spears since the 21st century?!

Let's take a look at their respective competitive eras;

So why is Avril Lavigne maintaining her music career better than Britney? Although Avril Lavigne's popularity is fading quickly along with Britney's, Avril seems to be keeping a better grasp on her WW influence!?

Avril's discography is consistent and always quality. Not to say Britney doesn't have a LOT of great songs/albums, but Avril doesn't mess around. Her self titled is in my opinion one of the top 5 albums of 2013 despite it underperforming. And Rock n Roll is one of my favorite songs ever.

Yes, Avril Lavigne has been out 13 weeks, yet she's selling more than Britney on a weekly basis.

Avril Lavigne 511,000 (+9,000 sales last week).
Britney Jean 500,000 (+8,000 sales last week).

So it's already obvious in the long run, Avril Lavigne will sell more!

And this week AL sold 7-8k and BJ sold 8k.

AL dropping in Asia, but still around 4k in Asia and 3-3,5k outside Asia.
