I am not even going to go back and read every post in here because I know it'll just infuriate me how ignorant and just plain moronic some people are, so let me just say that yes, I am a feminist. Feminism means you believe that men and women should be treated equally and that no one sex should have more or less privileges simply because of that sex. That's it. Feminism is not hating men, it is not wanting women to be held above men or thought of as better, it is not about putting men down. That is horse **** and things that misogynistic people make up so that they can justify their women hating without (rightfully) getting bashed for it. Any sane, intelligent person with half a brain should consider themselves a feminist because if you don't, you're saying that you don't think women should be thought of as equal to men or get the same opportunities as men simply because they are women, and if you think that, then quite frankly we don't need you and you can just go jet off into outer space and leave us normal people on Earth. The only legit reason to not be a feminist is that the mainstream representation of feminism does not have the best history with women of color and trans women, but because there are so many different ideas and interpretations within feminism I would definitely consider myself a feminist.
