To be fair, it's important for gays to be too. Feminism and LGBT rights/equality are closely linked Racial issues too. Intersectionality, gurls.

What I mean is that I do support it, but I just don't fight for it or at least feel like I don't. Or maybe I'm just being too technical with the word "advocate".

Like, I support gay rights, but there's nothing I do for it (gay marriage is legal in my country anyway). It's just my personal opinion and nothing I try to put on others. I'm not that kind of person I guess.

Here's the thing. You either believe in equal rights or you don't. If you believe in equality between men and women, then you are a feminist. If you don't, you're not. It's as simple as that. So yes, I am a feminist, and I believe everyone should be.

it actually does matter. of course we as allies should let the women control the narrative, but just as women were strongly implicated in the gay liberation, everyone else who identifies as a feminist, gheihs included, have an important role to play in the advancement towards gender equality/ending oppression. das called intersectionality, gworls

It's SO annoying that feminism has been labelled as "man-hating psycho bitches!!!" and whatnot. I get really disappointed when I see celebrities shy away from the f-word when asked in interviews. It was especially ridiculous when Gaga and Bey did it, meanwhile their music says otherwise But both of them have totally come around/been educated and now embrace the word
