Although it didn't exactly fire up the charts, I've heard multiple people reference it a long time after its release. It seems a very timeless song to me.

Nope. Not even here in The Netherlands, where it was like the biggest song of the year. But it's not a classic for some reason. Empire State Of Mind (Part II) is.
