Um.. it's just editing. Things are not shown in order. If you watch the show they always skip around. All reality TV is like that. They splice 1000's of hours of footage into an episode

Same thing happened when Khloe and Lamar got engaged but a big deal wasn't made because they arent Kanye and Kim

Because that's exactly what it is?

I just rewatched this part of the episode and it was a part of the "Kim has been a judgmental bitch lately" storyline, NOT the "surprise party" storyline. There was not one mention of any surprise party. That's how the show is edited. They take storylines from what they shoot and separate them into episodes. Reality TV is rarely shown chronologically.

If you guys honestly think they would put that ENTIRE thing together for the show... just... wow

yeah, they stage some scenes, but you guys have no idea how much money and effort would go into that. And seeing how happy Kanye was, there's no way it was staged.

The way it works is they film for a month and than edit after. The include some storylines that may be a couple days apart to fill episodes sometimes. It's not 'fake' though.
