While Yuna WAS robbed, I think the main thing is that Adelina had 5 points more complexity/difficulty in her routine...so...yeah

She just happened to be the one representing home turf, they should hone their attacks on the committee, not her.

They are so pathetic. Its not like Adelina was judging herself. If they want to bitch and be angry at someone, then what about the judges?
Its so unfair to Adelina, they are ripping this girl apart. She is only 17 years old, first time on the olympics and on her home turf, with a huge chance to win... Think about it. Can you imagine the pressure there was on her before the FS?

Yuna Kim for getting robbed and Adelina for simply being the local pride of Russia and winning for it.

The judges were overscoring Adelina, but I dont think it is clear that Yuna should have won, maybe yes, maybe not. If judges werent overscoring Adelina, their scores would be very close.
Adelina changed her routine, added difficulty to her FS (made 6 triple jumps instead of 5, added a combination etc.), while Yuna has not made any changes in her FS. So while Yunas FS was flawless, it was less difficult than Adelinas. Adelina had the second most difficult FS (Maos was the most difficult- she had 7 triple jumps, and that 3A, wow). In other words, Yuna was playing it safe while Adelina (and Mao after her SP) was taking risks. She gave everything into her FS, made two minor mistakes (for which she got negative GOE) but the rest was wonderful. Thats how you fight for a medal imo.

It's not Adelina's fault. Yuna should have easily won but that's the judges decision, not hers. Of course she wants the gold though, she ain't giving it back.

Why the hell are people dragging her?
So damn rude. Yes, Yuna deserved it, but why don't you go in on the people who made her win (the judges)

The real travesty is how she managed to score 7 points better than Mao when Mao's FS WAS more difficult.

FS results:
1, Adelina - 75.54 (TES) 74.41 (PCS)
2, Yuna - 69.69 (TES) 74.50 (PCS)
3, Mao - 73.03 (TES) 69.68 (PCS)
4, Carolina - 68.84 (TES) 73.77 (PCS)
Adelina shouldnt have had higher TES than Mao, but higher than Yuna, because her routine was more difficult than Yunas and less difficult than Maos, so her TES score should have been between 70 and 72.
Yuna had highest PCS, and rightly so, but I think that Adelinas PCS is a little inflated too. But she was better than Carolina imo, who got the third highest PCS with 73.77. So her PCS should have been around 74.00 points.
Even if Adelina had only the second highest TES after Mao (what would be fair imo) and the second highest PCS after Yuna she could have won, but it would be a very close win for either Yuna or Adelina

Not to mention Yuna's underscoring and Adelina's overscoring in the short program.

They better defend the Queen of Ice, the winner of 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, Queen Yuna.
She should have won by over 40 points over the second placer, Adelina Sotnikova.
Her Program Component Score is laughable, a joke...

ADELINA SCORES 74 for her PCS?
Wtf is this joke????
Her skating skill is pure terrible. Her transition is weak, the edges are not smooth.
The way she glides on the ice is rough. She doesn't connect to the music like the top skaters..
Let alone, she beats MAO in terms of skating skills, interpretation and more?
She shoulld have gotten no more than 65 for PCS and THAT'S ALREADY A HUGE SCORE.
Let me not talk about 74 and the fact that she's 1 point away from beating Yuna's World Record.
Her last EUROPEAN COMPETITION, her component was in the 60s range!!!!
How did she managed to get her components up by this much in a short period of time?
Truly disgusting. WTF?

Queen Yuna knew she slayed lives
After the long program Yuna said
" If I am not satisfied with the result what can i do? I didn't expect much for the scoring, I was just happy that I was able to show all that I could due to the struggles I faced while preparing for the Olympics."
" The most difficulty while preparing was that unlike for Vancouver, I wasn't able to set a specific goal for myself. For Vancouver my personal goal was ' it has to be a gold medal or it will be the death of me.' However, after achieving that ultimate goal that every athlete shares, I didn't have that desperate yearn for it. I couldn't push myself to work harder without that motivation. "
Out of a perfect 100, what would you rate yourself?
" 120." A surprising score for someone like Yuna who is known to be a perfectionist.
