I don't know about you but personally if I'm filming I forget to really feel the moment and take her in, and then you just live in the memory of your video without the emotion you get from having no technology between you and her.

I understand, I don't even look when I'm filming, it's just in one hand, when I play the videos back you can hardly see the stage haha. I just stop and start after each song, don't even pay attention. But i've done it before, and I've got emotion with the performer, but thanks

One just needs to master the art of holding your phone while its recording like under your chin or something so it gets the same view you do... For flawless videos I'd suggest practice runs. One should think about if you may be jumping, or if you like to flail your arms in the air.

I tried to record and watch and I ended up getting shots of her legs. But at least I could show people that I was touching her.
