The game came out on the 13th. The tracking week was the 10th to the 16th. So this is only based on 4 days of sales.

DK64 was greatly influenced by BK, but it still stood on its own.
I never found it to be cheap and/or broken.

All I need is one more 3D platforming game of each. After that, they can make all the side scrolling games they want for another 15 years.

Some people just simply prefer a world that they can openly explore.
I'm not understanding why people are so offended by that.

There hasn't been a proper balance between 3D/2D with Nintendo. Nearly everything has been 2D in recent years.

Not some of you (Sony stans) acting as though it would break some record.

-There was no promo at all.
-This is only based on Japan.
-Nobody is checking for Wii U outside Mario Kart, Super Smash and the occasional X/Bayonetta.
-This is based on 4 days of tracking only

Don't act as though this is some real flopping like certain people's albums which isn't even in the Top 100 iTunes anymore. For what it's worth, Donkey Kong did respectable on namesake alone. It'll definitely crack 1m sales LTD (since it will definitely have legs) so this isn't a problem.

It's a problem if Mario Kart 8 or Smash does these kind of numbers.

Maybe in 1 country, but worldwide it doesnt get released until the 21st. Its not out in America yet so bye. Track it when the FULL numbers are in.

Also, a game with no promotion that is selling this much solely off of its name in one region (still unreleased to the world) is not bad at all.
