Monsters went overboard with it... well, seeing as how they dominate this site in numbers, it certainly felt a lot more overwhelming.
So because Monsters did something more often, the Gaga base should be closed? Closing the one thread it should be kept in 95% of the time doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when they're "discussing" the rules after closing it.
Female MJ was cute but clearly the Monsters have ruined the joke for everyone. It became a legit nickname for Katy on here but now the Monsters made it disruptive out of jealousy.
Lee, cmon dude. You know that I like you and I really respect you. We did not do anything wrong, We were just laughing at the avis some members did. Thats it.
Because that thread is and has always been an off topic disaster, just like ALL bases whenever the artist isn't actually DOING ANYTHING.
Bases should be permanently removed, and we should go back to the old album threads. At least the discussion won't be split, and we can keep music polls in the lounge again like they used to be
– Do not bash other artists or their fans. You can do that in Stand Your Ground (for bashing artists) or you can write a blog about it. Friendly comparisons between artists are allowed.
– Incidental, brief off topic conversation is allowed. Recurring, lengthy off topic conversation is not. The general conversation should always revolve around the artist, not the lives of the fans.

It was a joke. The outlandish statements that went with it? C'mon, it's not our fault the Kats couldn't take a joke.
It's just mockery. Let's not pretend that the Katy fans didn't take it overboard when they were (and still are) trying it.

Of course it's going to be overwhelming in every Gaga thread you can't resist checking up on. I understand the Monsters can be a joke sometimes, but you only find the annoyance if you look for it. Maybe you should stop clicking threads with Gaga's name on it, that'll certainly solve the problem.
